I don’t know since I started being a motivational speaker but it seems I do. The reality of the “street” and the results show me that I am doing well this thing.

The title of this post is self-motivation. A difficult and very difficult thing. Something that is not for everyone. At least not in the long run.

From the outside you receive stimulus. This is an external motivation. The virtue of inertia is another source to go forward, to continue.

The two above can end at one point. The only thing that remains for as long as you live is self-motivation. You find it only in your own person.

It’s when you have no reason to continue and yet you do. You force yourself. Despite the lack of energy, despite the outside opinions, despite the wrong advice and despite those just trying to mess you up, despite everything.

I remember with pleasure the adolescent times when I was working my body in the gym. Being a very skinny kid, small in stature and with some medical problems I started to go to the gym. With a purpose, to be bigger. And I did it. I won.

I managed despite the thousands of muscle aches and the fact that sometimes I couldn’t get up from my chair because I didn’t have the energy to do it anymore. And I did that in the long run. Finally I made my body bigger. Because I was self-motivated. I exasperated my nerves, my muscles until I managed to do it.

You can sometimes get into situations when you lack motivation. It can happen to some people. Relax. You are not the only one. And in fact you are not weak but you are strong. Because this is only happening to the powerful.
